OVERVIEW OF AWESOME!

Welcome to Episode 30 with the amazing Breeda Kelly Miller!

Breeda’s caregiving journey began unexpectedly. With no training or medical background, she found herself in a situation she never anticipated: becoming her mother’s caregiver. Breeda didn’t know what she didn’t know—she just knew she loved her mom and couldn’t let her live alone any longer. For nearly eight years, Breeda and her family cared for her mother, balancing love, challenges, and lessons learned along the way. It was good—until it wasn’t.

In this episode, Breeda and I delve into her journey, exploring the pain, resilience, and life lessons that shaped her into the powerhouse she is today. Breeda is not only an inspiring speaker, author, and trainer but also a beacon of hope for caregivers and organizations alike. With professional experience serving healthcare organizations, corporations, nonprofits, and academic institutions like Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, The University of Michigan, Kimberly-Clark, The Alzheimer’s Association, and LeadingAge, Breeda brings actionable and creative solutions to every stage.

Her expertise was hard-earned through personal experience, having provided care for her mother during eight years of caregiving, including hospice care at home. A graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy with a degree in communications studies, Breeda’s storytelling skills have earned her national recognition, including broadcasts on The Moth Story Hour on NPR. As a professional member of the National Speakers Association and Immediate Past President of its Michigan Chapter, Breeda uses the power of story, audience interaction, and warm-hearted humor to deliver strategies that truly make a difference.

Join us for a heartfelt conversation filled with invaluable insights, as Breeda shares her story and equips us with tools to face life’s unexpected challenges with strength and grace.
